THERE’S six weeks to go (ok you can add a few weeks of finals on after that) in the Telstra Premiership and if your team is sitting in the top six then you should be pretty happy.

But fans of teams out side of that should be a bit nervous.

Let’s face it teams vying for the seventh and eight positions will fluctuate.

Currently the Titans and Rabbits are 7 and 8 on 24 and 22 points respectively, followed by the Broncos and the Eels on 22 and for mine; those are the two teams that are a big chance to push the Bunnies and the Gold Coasters out of the finals equation.

Let’s look at the run in for these four teams and you be the judge.

The Titans despite their miraculous one point win over the Dragons look to be shallow in depth. They’ve got the Warriors away then are home for both the Eels and Cowboys. Then it’s back on the road for the Roosters and Sharks with a final home game against the Tigers.

The Rabbits demise could come courtesy of injuries to Dave Taylor(broken collarbone) and Luke Stuart (broken hand).Their run starts with the Bulldogs away, then Tigers at home, Storm and Panthers away, Eels at home and then a final round away game to the Dragons. That’s arguably one of the toughest runs in and will prove too much

The Broncos aren’t far off it. It’s tough in week 21 with the Dragons, but at least they’re at Suncorp, then it’s Townsville for the Cowboys, Eels in Brisbane, Knights and Warriors on the road and a final home game against the Raiders.

Finally the Eels. Can the Hayne Train and Moi Moi Express deliver an identical run to a grand final as in 2009?

Week 21 has them up against the Roosters at home, Titans and Broncos on the road, back home for the Tigers, away to the Bunnies and finally a home game against the Warriors. That final game could end up having a major bearing on the playoffs.

Nothing is a given at this time of the year, in fact, the NRL in many ways is the hardest competition to tip. That is why it’s so enthralling each week.
